GNM & B.Sc (Nursing)

General Nursing & Midwifery(GNM)

Course Description

The duration of the course for General Nursing and midwifery course shall be 3 years including an integrated internship. The course commences from 1st October of the academic year. Final examinations are conducted at the end of every year (Annual pattern). The medium of instruction is English for all the subjects of the study and for examination. HLG Institute of nursing provides rich clinical experience and students will be posted in different tie-up hospitals.

Eligibility Criteria for GNM Course (3 years)

The applicant must be a citizen of India. Must be domicile of West Bengal.
The applicant must have passed or must be appearing in class examination in(10+2) system with at least 40% marks in aggregate.
The applicant’s age must be at least 17(seventeen) and maximum 35 years.
Candidate must be medically fit for the course and produce a medical fitness certificate.

B.Sc Nursing

Course Description

The duration of the course for B.Sc Nursing shall be 4 years including integrated internship. The course commences from 1st October of the academic year. University examinations are conducted at the end of every 6 month (semester pattern). Medium of instruction is English for all the subjects of the study and for examination. HLG Institute of nursing provides rich clinical experience and students will be posted in different tie up hospitals.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (HS/Pre Degree) after a period of 12 years of study under a recognized board/university with science(Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks in above mentioned 4 subjects (PCBE) and for SC/ST Candidates, the mark in PCBE subject is 40%
Minimum age of admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year admission
Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply
The candidate shall be medically fit.
