The lamp lighting and oath-taking ceremony is a tribute to “Florence Nightingale — the Lady with the Lamp.” This ceremony initiates students into the noble profession of Nursing. The lamp lighting signifies the firm decision of these young students to be trained to care for the sick and wounded persons.

The oath-taking ceremony is a solemn ceremony where the nursing undergraduates take their oath after receiving their cap and the lamp.

Our first batch of GNM course took an oath in the name of Florence Nightingale after Lighting the Lamp.

The Principal of HLG Institute of Nursing , Ms Elavarasi organised the whole ceremony in presence of Guardian and media.

The Chairman of HLG Hospital , Mr Sunil Gupta and Director, Mr. Avishek Gupta were present along with our Chief Guest, Smt. Aruna Mukherjee, ANO of Asansol Railway Hospital.
